So this project is very rad. Long story short, our customer has been waiting paitnently for years before the vehicle came into our shop. Formerly Diesel Swaped with an MTDI power package and built tranmission with taller freeway gear from ZSI, the client has added several fun items that will add to the adventures to be had.

Some of the highlights for this build can include:

  • Finishing brake system, clutch cable and shifter.

  • Interior removal to add reclaimed foam insulation + new flooring ready for outdoor use and easy clean up.

  • Install and wire in Inverter.

  • Intake for turbo charger modified for newly constructed engine room cover.

  • Build throttle cable bracket.

  • Install new radiator + Brushless Fan with relay controller.

  • Construct and build engine room cover from scratch.

  • install x2 Lipo Batteries. 1 delegated to vehicle and the other to auxillary add on's.

  • Installed Solar power bank charger to charge both banks. Works with alternator.

  • Clean up wiring at engine room for the swapped TDI engine that currently runs the vehicle along with fuse blocks and paneling to organize all new additions. Additionally there was New wiring replaced for the comprimised wire that runs forward of the van.

  • A Diesel heater unit was installed underneath the vehicle. The wiring was run to a controller in the vehicle at the dash in the ash tray bin. It provides heat in original ventilation to the bus. A fuel valve was added to allow fuel flow to the system when in use, and to turn off when it is not.

  • Charger port for electric bikes at the hitch.

  • Added exterior lighting and interior lighting

  • Lighting added to engine room.

  • Solar panel on camper top + New canvas

  • Add charging ports at false air vent in cabin area + charging ports when camping on second level.

The camper roof will be removed to install the new camper canvas, as well as repairing the ceiling and edges where things staple. We will also be installing our solar panel and provided gaskets. Our plan is to build an air dam to help aid drag on the panel after final installations and going down the road.

There will be more to see soon
